TPM Not Recognized in EMBASSY Security Center

Problem:

EMBASSY Security Center does not recognize the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) as On and Activated. The TPM is required to be On and Owned to use Private Information Manager (PIM) and Document Manager.

Solution:

Please check the following: If these are both the TPM and NTRU TSS are installed and working properly, please check for LOCK files and delete any if found in the following locations:

XP Vista & Windows 7 If no LOCK files were present, we may need to move some files around. First, we will replace the tsp1.dll file:
  1. Go to C:\Program Files\NTRU Cryptosystems\NTRU TCG Software Stack\bin
  2. Copy the tsp1.dll file
  3. Next go to C:\Windows\System32, find the old tsp1.dll file, and rename it tsp1.old.dll
  4. Paste the new tsp1.dll file (one from the bin folder)
  5. Now restart your machine and open Embassy Security Center to see if the TPM is listed as enabled.
If it is still not being read as enabled, we will need to move over another file:
  1. Go to Program Files\Wave Systems Corp\Common\NTRU12
  2. Copy the file tcg15.dll
  3. Next go back to C:\Windows\System32
  4. Place the new tcg15.dll file into the System32 folder
  5. When prompted to overwrite the file, select Yes.
  6. Now restart your machine once more and open Embassy Security Center to see if the TPM is listed as enabled.
If none of the above corrects the issue, please contact Wave Customer Support and we will continue troubleshooting your issue.
